Neuro-Energetics
Trainer's
Training
Humanistic
Neuro-Linguistic
Psychology
applied
to
training:
HNLPsychology
is
the
study
of
how
Mind
creates
reality
through
language
and
behavior.
John
Overdurf
and
Julie
Silverthorn
developed
this
aspect
of
NLP
as
they
searched
for
what
is
beyond
traditional
NLP.
Their
answer
is
Humanistic
Neuro-Linguistic
Psychology.
HNLP
is
an
excellent
extension
to
conventional
NLP
that
has
an
incredibly
positive
aspect
on
a
trainer's
skills.
The
science
of
HNLP
comes
from
Quantum
Physics
and
Spirituality.
The
underlying
messages
from
HNLP
are
that
reality
is
a
construction,
and
that
we
are
all
interconnected
and
are
part
of
something
much
larger.
The
first
trainer
training
course
based
on
HNLP
was
held
in
Lancaster,
Pennsylvania
in
August
1997.
In
the
course,
the
participants
learned
about
dissipative
structures
and
how
to
use
the
Chaos
and
Order
theory
to
enable
students
to
break
through
to
a
higher
order.
John
and
Julie
taught
how
morphogenic
fields
are
a
metaphor
for
training
and
how
to
create
morphogenic
fields
that
support
training
by
having
congruently
aligned
internal
representations.
Training
and
Presentation
Skills:
To
practice
presentation
skills,
the
participants
formed
into
groups
of
about
five.
For
exercises,
each
person
received
feedback
from
a
trainer
and
a
member
of
the
group.
Over
12
days
of
training
and
4
days
for
certification,
that
is
a
lot
of
feedback!
The
participants
learned
the
importance
of
state
control
in
training.
That
is,
the
trainer
controlling
their
own
state
by
anchoring
in
themselves
the
trainer
state
and
to
have
the
skills
to
elicit
and
anchor
states
in
their
audience.
Eliciting
and
anchoring
states
in
the
audience
is
always
fun
and
there
was
no
exception
at
this
training.
As
an
assistant,
I
was
treated
to
a
brilliant
display
of
behavioral
flexibility
as
participants
elicited
and
anchored
all
kinds
of
wonderful
states.
The
students
learned
about
group
process.
They
then
went
on
to
study
the
4mat
system
based
on
the
work
of
Kolb
and
McCarthy.
From
this
point,
the
participants
created
presentations
to
suit
the
different
learning
styles
of
the
4mat
system.
The
next
item
on
the
agenda
was
Satir
categories.
These
are
five
different
postures
which
are
used
to
communicate
archetypal
messages
(which
are
out
of
your
audiences'
awareness).
The
participants
learned
to
create
charisma
by
cycling
through
each
category.
This
proved
terrific
fun
as
students
were
encouraged
to
exaggerate
postures
and
tonalities
to
get
comfortable
with
categories
they
were
not
naturally
using.
The
manual
gave
some
extra
useful
information
on
the
meta
message,
the
high
value
and
metaprogrammes
of
each
Satir
category.
Next
the
participants
were
given
the
opportunity
to
entrance
us
with
their
command
of
hypnotic
language
patterns
and
how
hypnosis
is
useful
in
learning.
This
led
naturally
into
metaphor
training
and
multi
embedded
metaphor
and
nested
loops.
As
an
assistant,
I
was
entranced
by
the
stories
and
how
quickly
the
students
excelled
in
multi
embedded
metaphor.
The
Language
of
Change:
In
both
Humanistic
Neuro-Linguistic
Psychology™ and
traditional
NLP
our
middle
name
is
linguistic.
The
more
a
trainer
can
facilitate
change
through
language
the
more
elegant
that
trainer
will
be
perceived
to
be.
This
is
the
case
for
answering
questions,
handling
hecklers
or
dealing
with
people
issues
that
arise
in
an
NLP
training.
John
and
Julie
covered
their
Beyond
Words
Model,
which
is
languaging
change
through
the
quantum
field.
The
linguistic
presuppositions
of
this
model
applied
to
training
are
extremely
useful.
This,
together
with
Cartesian
coordinates
and
several
other
exquisite
language
models,
began
to
equip
the
participants
with
sufficient
tools
to
produce
elegant
results
in
the
training
arena
linguistically.
The
Specialties:
Neuro-Energetics
recognizes
that
some
people
who
enroll
in
an
NLP
Trainer's
Training
want
to
work
in
niche
areas.
To
cater
to
this,
John
and
Julie
invited
eleven
additional
certified
NLP
trainers
who
are
already
successfully
training
NLP
in
certain
niche
markets.
These
additional
modules
were
exciting
and
useful
for
the
participants.
The
UK
trainers
presented
some
useful
modules
as
outlined
below.
