No matter what you think you are, you are always more than that! John and Julie coined the term Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Psychology™ to describe their branch of NLP. What is included in the Neuro-Energetics' Trainer's Training?

The training is divided into two sections: the Core Skills and the Specialties segments. Core Skills are the heart and soul of the training and are primarily presentation skills. The Specialties segments focus on specific applications of NLP to training contexts.

What is included in the Certification & Evaluation Segment?

The Certification and Evaluation segment is a four day process. Day one is the test. Days 2-4 include one demo day and two presentation days. Participants really enjoy the demo day because it is very much like a teaching day.

1. A comprehensive closed book test of traditional NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner information. The Trainer's Certification policy requires that you pass this test with a minimum grade of 70% to continue with the Evaluation & Certification. WHEN YOU REGISTER YOU WILL RECEIVE A DETAILED LIST OF SUBJECT AREAS FOR THE TEST. This info is available only for those who are enrolled to take the test. We can not release this information on the Internet.

2. A demonstration of a NLP technique upon request. You must do a satisfactory demonstration, which receives a passing grade to continue with certification and evaluation. You will receive a list of possible demos during the training.

3. Two presentations on approved Practitioner and/or Master Practitioner material content. You are required to present content material that is comprehensible, accurate and chunked into the 4-mat system. You must also maintain a resourceful state throughout your presentation to be certified.

Who may attend the Training?

Participants must be certified NLP Practitioners and Master Practitioners to attend. If you are only a certified Practitioner, it may be possible for you to attend if you only take the Trainer's Training segment and not Certification & Evaluation.
NOTE: You would not be able to sit for the written test if you have not taken Master Practitioner training since there will be Master practitioner questions on the test.

What are the requirements to become a Certified NLP Trainer?

What should I do to prepare for NLP Trainer's Training?

Contact our office and register for Trainer's Training and the Certification/Evaluation. AFTER ENROLLING, YOU WILL RECEIVE A DETAILED CONFIRMATION LETTER. HERE ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS:

HOW TO BECOME A TRAINER'S TRAINING SUPERSTAR!!!!

Review your Practitioner and Master Practitioner materials. You should know all of the standard, traditional NLP information that is cited in the ABNLP guidelines.

Listen to the Neuro-Energetics' Practitioner and Master Practitioner training tapes or CD's to master the content which you will be using as the basis of your presentations. The area of greatest concern over the years of doing Trainer's Training, which has actually kept some people from being certified, is their lack of content knowledge. Many people comprehend NLP well while sitting in class taking Practitioner or Master Practitioner training; however, the level of knowledge required to stand up and teach NLP while doing several other multi-level tasks is quite different from sitting in class and absorbing the material.

Click Here If you are coming to Trainer's Training with a group, you may purchase the mp3's and share them with one another (sorry no duplicating allowed). Our intention is not to sell our products but to have Trainers who have fully integrated the content prior to arriving at Trainer's Training. The purpose of Trainer's Training is to develop excellence in your presentation skills, not to learn the basic NLP skills during the training. We presuppose that you know the techniques when you arrive and that our job is to assist you in refining them.

The "NLP Practitioner Field Manual and Study Guide" is also available at the discounted seminar price. This is a mini-manual, which includes all of the Practitioner techniques in alphabetical order with graphics and a separate study guide, for reviewing NLP contentfor the Trainer's Training Test.

The best use of your time before Trainer's Training would be to pick two NLP topics, listen to these segments on the tapes or CD's and outline them thoroughly. Then present them one-on-one or in a group setting to hear yourself present the material and get a feel for its chunking and sequencing. For the best results at Trainer's Training, present the material as if the listener has NO previous knowledge of NLP.

If you have the time, review a NLP Practitioner and/or Master Practitioner session.

If you do not have the time to attend a live training, you may want to contact one of the Humanistic NLP representatives and join a study group to prepare for Trainer's Training.

Are there Trainer's Training audiotapes/CDs available?

Yes, there are. They are available for you to listen to before the training so you have a sense of what Trainer's Training is really like. You can then listen to them after the training to enhance your understanding and skills. They are available to you at the discounted seminar price when you enroll in Trainer's Training.

What presentations will I make during Trainer's Training?

During Trainer's Training, you will present two formal, 30-45 minute presentations. To make these fun, we suggest that you pick two topics that you already know well, so that you can focus on your presentation skills. Pick your topics before you come to the training and research them thoroughly.

Examples of topics which you can easily prepare at home are: Predicates, Resource Anchor, Collapsing Anchors, Introduction to Submodalities, Swish Pattern, Visual Acuity, Auditory Acuity, Eye Accessing Cues, Rapport/Physiology, Voice Matching, Outcomes, Introduction to Values, MetaPrograms (not to exceed 3), Introduction to Strategies/TOTE, Meta Model (not to exceed 3), and Milton Model (not to exceed 3). Pick a topic that is comfortable for you and that you have taught before or at least explained to someone.

You'll need to prepare approximately 15 minutes of solid content for your topics. We will be teaching new material at the training which you will use to complete the additional 15-30 minutes of your presentation. During the Evaluation & Certification, it would be ideal for you to pick one or two other presentation topics, so you'll have fresh topics for this section. Although, your new topics may be closely related to the topics you used in the Trainer's Training segment.

What resources should I bring to Trainer's Training?

Bring your NLP resource materials (audiotapes, books, manuals, CD's and notes from Practitioner and Master Practitioner) with you to the training. They will make preparing the presentations and studying for the evaluation a lot easier!

Is there anything I need to send to Neuro-Energetics prior to the training?

Please mail or fax us a copy (no originals, please) of both your NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner certificates prior to the training. We need these before we present you with your Trainer's Certificate. If you are reviewing Trainer's Training then we need you to send us a copy of your certificate so we can give you the reviewer's rate of 50% off of the training segment is only available to Certified NLP Trainers who provide approved documentation prior to early registration. (No discount is given for the Certification and Evaluation.)

What are the Hours of the Training?

The CORE SKILLS segments will generally run from 1:00 pm until 6:30 pm, or to 8:30 pm if there are no Specialties segments scheduled. The optional SPECIALTIES and ADVANCED TRAINING segments will begin at approximately 8:00 pm after a dinner break. There will also be some required and some optional morning sessions beginning at 10 am. It is an intense training, some days will be 10am to 10pm. You will receive a detailed daily schedule on the first day of the training. The exact hours for Evaluation & Certification will be announced at the end of Trainer's Training.

Is this an English speaking Training?

Yes, it is. You must be able to present in English. Although you will not be evaluated on how well you speak English, it must be comprehensible.

What requirements do you have regarding Trainer Ethics?

The following is an example of the Neuro-Energetics' Ethics agreement.

1. I will do my best to serve as an appropriate role model for the students and participants in all of my trainings.

   1. I will do my best to model and integrate the presuppositions of NLP and Humanistic NLP.
      
   2. I will take great care in teaching others and create a positive learning environment which respects individuals and their learning styles.
      
   3. I understand that as a Trainer I will be viewed as an authority. I will not use this position to gain an unfair advantage with students/participants or as a means for creating business, financial or sexual gains solely for my personal benefit.
      
   4. I agree, that if my teaching relationship is the primary relationship with an individual, I will act ethically to support this relationship. If a dual relationship occurs, I will do my best to balance my training relationship with the additional relationship.
      
   5. If my behavior in a dual relationship is not in integrity, I will take responsibility to contact the appropriate resource person to make the necessary changes.
      
2. I will do my best to conduct business in the marketplace in a truthful, honest manner, always seeking a "win-win" for both parties.
   

   1. I will advertise myself in an honest, forthright manner and will not make claims about myself which are not true.
      
   2. I will only advertise myself as a member of an organization if I belong to the organization and have paid my association fees.
      
   3. I will not knowingly plagiarize another person's work and, when borrowing from the work of others, I will give proper credit as a professional courtesy. I will not allow the copying of Neuro-Energetics (NE) copyrighted materials, including audio, video or written work, without the written permission of NE.
      
   4. I will have published policies for refunds and reviews and will handle any financial issues in the most ethical manner possible.
      
3. I will protect the confidentiality of my students/participants and therapy clients, unless it is legally imperative that I make a disclosure or have been given written permission to do so. If I find myself in a training or therapy situation, in which I clearly do not have the skills appropriate for the situation, I will bring closure to the situation and make an appropriate referral.
   
4. I will speak well of other Trainers. I will be honest in my opinions and will label anything that is less than positive as my opinion, and provide a counterpoint to it. I will not repeat gossip about other Trainers or students/participants in a training context.
   
5. I acknowledge that as a Certified NLP/HNLP Trainer, I may use the terms and teach the materials referred to as "Mind Power for Life" and "Time-Based Techniques." I agree to do this in a professional and ethical manner. No fees, commissions, or royalties are due from me as compensation for the right to use these materials. However, before teaching these materials, I acknowledge that I have been trained directly by NE in these techniques and if I have not, I will purchase one copy of each for my professional education before imparting the material to others. I further acknowledge that I may continue to use these terms and materials, unless requested to discontinue by NE. NE reserves the sole right to request, for any reason, that I no longer use or teach these materials. Acceptance of this agreement is acknowledgement that I will discontinue teaching these techniques and using these terms, if requested to do so.
   
6. I will not certify individuals who demonstrate an unwillingness to agree with the spirit of the aforementioned points.

What are the requirements for Neuro-Energetics' Master Trainer Program?

The Neuro-Energetics' Master Trainer's Program (MTP) serves to recognize those seasoned and ethical trainers who have made a significant contribution to the advancement and expansion of NLP and Humanistic NLPsychology™. We realize that there are many extremely competent, innovative trainers who have successfully applied and taught NLP in areas generally considered to be outside of the field. We have built some flexibility into the requirements so that new leaders in the field can emerge who will expand the edges of NLP.

The MTP is not for everyone. In fact, if you are already certified as an NLP and/or Humanistic NLPsychology™ Trainer, there may be no reason to become a Master Trainer. At present, there are no traditional NLP associations who have set forth Master Trainer requirements. The Master Trainer designation is not a formally recognized credential in certain NLP circles. Traditionally, any NLP Trainer could certify Trainers and there was no requirement that one be a Master Trainer to certify Trainers.

Therefore, we view the MTP as a vehicle for motivated trainers who are dedicated to deepening their expertise in an applied area of NLP. Our commitment to those in the program is to provide assistance in creating a specialty niche in NLP or Humanistic NLPsychology™ that is supported by a tangible, significant contribution to the field.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Documented Training Experience:
   
   1. Assist once at an Neuro-Energetics' NLP Trainer's Training
      
   2. Conduct Five Practitioner Certification Trainings and
      
   3. Conduct Three Master Practitioner Certification Trainings OR
      
   4. Conduct 960 clock hours of training wherein Humanistic NLPsychology™ or NLP is taught and applied to an area of specialty outside of a traditional Practitioner or Master Practitioner Training
2. Documented significant innovation/contribution to the field of NLP and Humanistic NLPsychology™ in the form of a full length published book.
3. Demonstration of ethical commitment:
   
   1. Agree to and Sign a Humanistic NLPsychology™ Ethics Agreement
      
   2. Consistently Demonstrate Ethical Behavior throughout the MTP and Afterwards
      
   3. Agree to and Accept that MTP Certification is at the Sole Discretion of Neuro-Energetics and their Agents
      
   4. Agree to and Accept that Use of the Term "Humanistic NLPsychology™" is a Trademarked Term and that its Continued Use is Wholly Dependent upon Adherence to the Signed Ethics Agreement.
4. Final review and payment:
   
   1. After all Materials have been Submitted, Successfully Complete a Final Interview with the Certifying Master Trainers
      
   2. Pay $2000 Certification Fee only at the Time of Certification. Fees subject to change without notice.

NEURO-ENERGETICS AGREES TO:

1. Provide Support and Information Necessary to Make a Contribution to the Field
   
2. Information and Resources for Creating Products
   
3. Support and Guidance in Choosing an Area of Specialty within NLP
   
4. Personal Attention to Support the Trainer's Expertise within the Field
   
5. Provide Master Trainer with the right to use the term "Humanistic NLPsychology™"

As a general note, our belief is that it is best to take Trainer's Training with whomever you want to take your Master Trainer's Program and visa versa. We do not accept people into our Master Trainer Program unless they have taken Trainer's Training with us. If you have taken Trainer's Training with another organization, you are eligible for our Master Trainer Program if you review our Trainer's Trainer for the reviewer rate of 50% off. You do not need to repeat the Certification & Evaluation section, if you are already a certified Trainer.

The MTP is a self-directed, self-study program designed primarily to assist the Master Trainer in making their unique contribution to the field of NLP.
